The women on Aging Abundantly are rich in talent, ability, and wisdom. They are also the nicest people I have ever met. They are all focused on reaching out to women, particularly those entering midlife and beyond and each conducts their business in a personal, honest and trustworthy manner. The service they provide is impeccable, their knowledge profound, and their desire to give their customers exactly what they are looking for is unique in the today’s marketplace. Hand selected, each is certified as an Aging Abundantly Expert.
Many of these women started their businesses after the age of fifty, at a time when they decided it was time to do what they loved to do. They bring years of experience together with a genuine excitement for what they do and are dedicated to bringing real value to other women. Taking a bold step often requires a leap of faith and it is not always easy, especially in our rapidly changing electronic world. Most will tell you, however, that it is worth the effort.
I developed this website as a result of my own midlife metamorphosis, that came into full sway when I left the home improvement business I ran with my husband for almost twenty years. (I did not, however, leave my husband, though I might have if I had not changed myself!) I left to dedicate myself to writing, an aspect of my true self I had left unattended for almost a lifetime. In the process of finding my way I was drawn to write about caregiving, as I was deep in the throes of caring for my own aging mother and little was being written at the time. It was at that time that I published my first book Caring for Mom ~ Midlife Reflections. I also wrote for a variety of women’s websites including Women Etcetera! and Connections for Women. My writing moved beyond caregiving to the exploration of what it means to be female and over fifty in the new millennium.
It continues to be an enriching and joyous conversation. I have met so many incredible women and learned so much in the process that it only seemed natural to create a place where others could do the same. Drawing on close to thirty years of marketing and business experience, I created Aging Abundantly to provide a safe place for women to find trustworthy services offered by women who have traveled a similar path. We are connected by our history, a history that has both enriched and defined how we think and who we are. Women over fifty are the same women who were once twenty and we are still committed to making the world a better place to live and our lives count for something. We are still about making changes, both internal and external and we are taking the world by storm.
If you are a woman who is embarking on a journey of transition and change, and if you are looking for answers and support, you have come to the right place. There is another woman who has been where you are. All you have to do is find her. Hopefully you will find her here. But if you don’t, let me know and I will do my best to track her down.
If, on the other hand, you are a woman who has survived your own midlife metamorphosis and are ready to showcase your talents, skills and business, consider becoming an Aging Abundantly Expert. We will help you reach the people who need you most and you can spend your time doing what you do best.
My hope is that when you look through the window of Aging Abundantly you will see what I have seen. I hope that it will inspire and transform your life in a way similar to how it has transformed mine. I believe in the wisdom and viability of women over fifty. I want you to walk away from fear or ambivalence and reach for your dreams. Now is your time to soar.
